Pier Avenue Baptist Church
117 Pier Avenue, Clacton-on-Sea, CO15 1NJ | Sundays @ 10:30amSunday Services
We begin our service at 10:30am and the service length varies but usually finishes around 11:40am and can be later especially on a communion Sunday (normally the first Sunday of the month).
Children leave us part way through the service to go to their own activity group.
The Under 3’s have the use of a crèche (parents must accompany children).
The crèche has a window and a speaker so the Church service can still be seen and heard by parents & carers.
Everyone is invited to stay for tea, coffee, squash and biscuits after the service.
There is a quiet room where you may seek prayer or a conversation with one of our Ministry team.
The button below will take you to the page with more practical information to help with a first time visit to our church

The Sunday School is for children over the age of 3 and young people leave for their group during the morning service.
The finish in line with the end of the main service at around 11:40am.
They have fun and learn about God at the same time, through a variety of activities each week.
Children under three have the use of a parent lead crèche.
What to Wear
There is no such thing as ‘dress code’ and you will find each week people gathered for worship in a wide variety of attire and everything from casual to smart.
Current Teaching in Church
During this Autumn Michelle our Minister has produced a plan for the messages each week. Most Sundays we are working through Pauls First Letter to the Corinthians with some challe nging topics for us to take onboard.
Click on the image and it will open up a page with the current topics from October through to the end of December and leading into the Advent Season.
It is planned to make most of the ! Corinthinns messages available online on YouTube – as an extract from the full service with the reading and message only to see what viewing stastitics are for these shorter offerings. The while servcie is mainly of interest to those streaming on the day or during the following week and seldom after that initial week of viewing whereas teaching on 1 Corinthians is valuable and valid at any time.

Message from Sunday 30th September
Normally there will be links provided to our YouTube Channel where the streamed services are listed.
Unfortunalely due to a technical issues the sound was lost for this service and as its part of a series Michelle has made available her message script. This will not be as good as being in the service or viewing Online as the God inspired ‘extras’ and ‘diversions’ are missing but this has to be better not no access. The passage is 1 Cor 7: 1 – 40
